Anne Elizabeth Reynolds was born on November 6, 1867, in Randolph County. Anne was one Dennis W. Reynolds seven children. In 1883 while visiting New Orleans on business Reynolds purchased an elaborate piano for 16-year-old Anne. Transporting such a purchase was no small feat. The piano was first loaded aboard a riverboat and shipped up the Mississippi River. Somewhere along the way, most likely along the White River the piano was loaded to a smaller riverboat that then traveled up the White River to the Black River near Jacksonport and on to Pocahontas and then the Reynolds farm at Reyno on the Current River.
